FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Any time. Anywhere! I’ve been incredibly privileged to photograph couples from all of the world, not only in South Africa, but also in the UK, Mauritius, Italy, Mallorca, Mozambique, Thailand & Spain!

2. DO YOU OFFER ALBUMS

Yes! The albums have 100 pages, and are A3 Landscape. They are printed on the most beautiful fine art paper, and handbound in Cape Town.

Album prices start at R4500,  available in different linen colours, as well as embossing that is plain, gold, silver or rose gold.

Please contact me on  bron@vanillaphotography.co.za  for more pricing and information.

3. DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY?

No, unfortunately not. But I do know some incredible videographers and will happily send on some references for you to have a look at. That goes for any suppliers in the industry - I've been lucky enough to work with the most amazing and wonderful people over the years and I'd happily share their details with you to get you on the right path with your planning.

4. HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?

Please contact me using the Let's Chat bar in the footer of the site, or email me on bron@vanillaphotography.co.za

Give me all the details of your wedding, including venue & date, and some information about yourselves, and I will get back to you with my availability and relative packages. Once you’ve received the packages, please read through the offerings, as well as the terms and conditions. If you’re keen to go ahead, I’ll send through an invoice for the booking fee, along with an Agreement for you to read through.

Only once the booking fee has been paid and the Agreement has been signed will the booking be secure. After that, we’ll set up a meeting and get to know each other over a great cup of coffee or online session.

5. HOW EARLY CAN I BOOK YOU?

At present I am only taking on a limited number of weddings, and only taking bookings up to 6 months in advance.

However, you can contact me to give you the latest packages and pricing so you can get an idea for your budget.

6. DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?

This is usually at my discretion. I don't always work with a second shooter

unless you are having a very large wedding, which may require some extra angles and extra hands.

Once I know more about your day, I will let you know if it'll be just me, or two of us on the day.

7. WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ON THE WEDDING DAY FOR YOU AS A PHOTOGRAPHER?

Your wedding is, and should be the most important, special and fabulous day of your life! It is vital that you feel comfortable with me as your photographer, so that you can relax and enjoy the day in a way that you’ll forever remember. This means that it is important that you spend as much time with your guests (who love and adore you) as possible. It’s the only time you’ll have all of your favourite people in one place. It’s therefore important to me to remain a fly on the wall, and document your day without too much fuss and posing. The day goes by faster than you think, so we’ll work around you and the way you want your day to evolve. It would be great if you could also include me when you’re talking about your timeline for the day,

as lighting plays a big role in getting great pictures!

8. WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF DAY FOR THE CEREMONY & BRIDAL SHOOT PHOTOS?

The best light for the bridal shoot is around sunset, so I try to use that last 45mins of light to get photos of you with your bridal party and as a newlywed couple. You should try to have your ceremony about 2 – 2.5 hours before the sunset, so that there is ample time to chat to your guests after you wed, before we sneak you off.  I don’t want to steal you away for hours, so we’ll keep it short and sweet. As I mentioned before, it’s really important that you spend as much time as possible with your wonderful guests.

9. DO YOU TAKE GROUP SHOTS OF THE PEOPLE AT THEIR TABLES?

Unfortunately I don’t offer this, as I strive to keep the photos as natural as possible. I do wander around the room getting natural photos of people having a good time, laughing at speeches, and generally having a great time. Should you require more group shots, I would suggest you hire a photo booth. You can contact me for some recommendations.

10. HOW SHOULD I SET THE TIMELINE OF MY DAY?

I have a guideline of times in my Wedding Packages, and as mentioned before, I’d love to have the last 45 mins before sunset to get the bridal shoot.

I’m very happy to assist in any way possible with this.
